1. Smeg BCC02
This sleek compact and striking machine, designed by the Milan-based firm Deep Design combines the brand's retro style with cutting edge technology. It is able to handle every step of the coffee-making process - from grinding beans and tamping them into a puck, to making milk into a texturing process and dispenses the right amount - so you can create high-quality barista hot drinks by pressing the button.
The machine also sports an attractive brushed aluminum front and comes in black, red or taupe, which means it's easy to integrate into most kitchen designs. The machine is not free of flaws however. Many reviewers felt that it was a bit expensive for a cup-to- bean maker (and does not come with the milk pitcher).
There were numerous glowing reviews about the machine's ease of use as well as the quality of the coffee. The intuitive digital display provides step-by-step guidance and feedback throughout the brewing process, helping you make your drink perfect each time. It will even prompt you to adjust the grind size if it's not enough. It's like having a personal barista at home (minus Elon Musk's rocket building skills and Harry Potter's invisible cape).
If you prefer drinks with milk this model comes with an adjustable steam wand upwards and downwards to fit most drinking vessels short of a Viking's drinking horn. We were awestruck by the speed and efficiency of the frothing procedure, as well. It makes an amazing, full-flavoured espresso with a great crema.
The BCC02 is a great all-rounder. It's quiet and efficient, and it provides excellent value for money at the current price of PS499. The only drawback is that it doesn't offer the same degree of customization like some of the other bean-to-cups we've tried. It has a pump that has 15 bars instead of the standard 19 bars. This isn't as good for producing high-quality espressos. This is a great machine for those who like their coffee dark and strong. 2. Melitta Barista TS Smart
The Barista TS Smart is a fantastic bean-to-cup machine with a lot of features that make it stand apart from the rest. Its most distinctive feature is probably the fact that it can be controlled from your smartphone through the Melitta Connect app. This allows you to change the settings and then dispense different coffee recipes stored in the machine.
This makes the machine super flexible and able to adapt to your preferences. There are many options to change the intensity of your drinks, cup sizes, and even if you would like milk added. The machine has two airtight bean containers that are automatically sorted for different specialities. It defaults to standard espresso beans in one and cafe creme (a German variation of long black or flat white) in the other however, you can select whatever beans you like. There is also a chute for beans that are already ground if you prefer to make your own.
Users have also been amazed by the speed of the machine. It is faster than any other machine they've used. The machine will also warn you if any of its hoppers is almost empty. This means that you won't be able to drink your favorite drink.
The only thing that may be a negative for some people is the price. The machine is priced at PS999. It's still less expensive than comparable Jura machines that have similar features.
The Barista TS Smart is backed by a an extensive warranty that provides two years of protection. This is a longer warranty than the typical one-year guarantee. It's a sign of confidence from the manufacturer. It also includes a cleaning tablet and a descaler, which makes it simple to keep on top of your machine's needs for maintenance. This is an excellent machine for those who are seeking a high-end and flexible bean to cup machine that's affordable.
3. Jura GIGA 6
The Jura GIGA 6 is an amazing espresso machine that utilizes the power of artificial intelligence to make the finest specialty coffees. Its smart rinsing and cleaning programs start with the click of a button, making day-to-day maintenance of your coffee maker easier than ever.
The Giga 6 has two milk and two coffee spouts. This means it can make two specialty coffees at once. This is possible due to the dual fluid and heating systems in the machine. The spouts can be adjusted for height and width to accommodate different cups. There is also a spout that can be used to make tea or iced-coffee with hot water.
Another amazing feature of the Giga 6 is the ability to customize and duplicate your favorite coffees. This is particularly useful for those who like having the same beverage in the morning and in the evening. For instance, you can make a flat white using regular beans and a second with decaf. You can alter the ingredients like the type of milk used or the amount sugar or cocoa.
Both the Giga6 and Z10 provide a variety of customization options. For starters you can pick from 28 one-touch specialty drinks. You can also alter the strength of coffee and select from a variety of levels of milk foam.
